Presentation of the association "Ocio de Ibiza"
The inaugural public gathering of the new association “Ocio de Ibiza” (Leisure of Ibiza) took place in Nassau Beach Ibiza’s Club last April 9.
Christian Braun from Nassau Beach Club and the new Association’s president explained how the leisure industry creates 2.100 direct jobs as well as 1.600 indirect jobs, making a total of 3.700 jobs and proclaiming the sector one of the Ibiza’s biggest income generator.
Carmen Ferrer, Councilwoman for Tourism in Ibiza was next to speak about how important the nightlife leisure industry is for the tourism development on the island. She also requested them to work together with the Government, since it is the best strategy to succeed.
