10th INTERNATIONAL NIGHTLIFE CONGRESS & 5th SPANISH NIGHTLIFE CONGRESS PROGRAMS
CANCELLED
The International Nightlife Association, alongside Spain Nightlife, Valencia Nightlife Association, and the Valencia Hospitality Federation, has announced the suspension of the upcoming International and Spanish Nightlife Congresses and the Golden Moon Awards Gala, originally planned for November 19 and 20 in Valencia. This decision has been made in solidarity with the victims and those affected by the severe DANA storm that recently impacted the region.
Event organizers have committed all funds initially allocated for the congresses and gala to support relief efforts. A donation platform will also be launched, allowing nightlife venues in Spain and worldwide, along with sponsors, DJs, patrons, suppliers, and industry partners, to make donations for DANA victims using the #SOSValencia message.
“This is a time to stand firmly alongside the Valencian community, offering them our full support and solidarity,” stated representatives from both the national and international nightlife associations. “Celebrations are not appropriate when thousands of families across the Valencia region are enduring immense hardship. We stand with the families of the victims, the missing, and all those impacted by this unprecedented catastrophe. With this in mind, all funds initially designated for the event will go directly to assist those affected, and we are launching a global fundraising campaign in their aid,” explained Joaquim Boadas, Secretary General of both Spain Nightlife and the International Nightlife Association.
Despite the suspension, The World’s 100 Best Clubs 2024 list and the Golden Moon Awards winners across ten categories will still be announced online on November 20 at 14:00. This online announcement will carry the #SOSValencia message, aiming to amplify international awareness and encourage donations for the DANA relief efforts, leveraging the extensive global media reach and social media impact surrounding the release of The World’s 100 Best Clubs 2024.
As agreed by the organizing bodies, the International and Spanish Nightlife Congresses and the Golden Moon Awards Gala, originally set to be hosted by Spanish journalist Lara Álvarez and British DJ Judge Jules, will now take place in Valencia next year. This rescheduling supports the region's economic recovery efforts, with the 5th Spanish Nightlife Congress and the 10th International Nightlife Congress now set for November 2025 in Valencia, along with the Golden Moon Awards Gala and the announcement of The World’s 100 Best Clubs 2025.
