Report nightclubs with lack of security measures
Due to the fire occurred in Bucharest one week ago which has claimed 53 lives so far, image of nightclubs worldwide has been damaged so we demand urgent measures at international level. Joaquim Boadas, General Secretary of the International Nightlife Association has stated today that is very important for people to distinguish between those nightlife entrepreneurs who invest in security and quality from those who doesn’t.
In this way, he has assured that the International Nightlife Association will report any establishment that doesn’t meet minimum security requirements and will open an e-mail address so that anyone can make a complaint against any nightclub considered unsafe because for instance it doesn’t have emergency exits or they are blocked or they offer fireworks show in its interior or use flammable and toxic materials and so on. As soon as we receive the reports we will forward them to the respective competent authorities of the country where the venue is based.
The International Nightlife Association, is at the same time asking authorities from all countries to promote urgently safety in nightclubs based in their respective territories by giving support to the Secure Nightlife Venue Seal in order that people who travel from one country to another can know in advance if the club or restaurant that they are going to visit meets international security measures or not, working in a manner of speaking as an international license, which so far doesn’t exist.
