The International Nightlife Association (INA) and Spain Nightlife have launched a fundraising campaign today to help those affected by the flooding that has devastated the Valencia region. Under the slogan “Nightlife Stands With Valencia”, this initiative will enable nightlife venues in Spain and worldwide, DJs, customers, as well as nightlife-related brands and industry partners to make donations that will go to the Valencia Food Bank (Banco de Alimentos), the Red Cross in Valencia, and Caritas Diocesana.
To support this initiative, the International Nightlife Association has opened a bank account, where anyone wishing to donate can do so by including their name and the message #SOSValencia. Donations can also be made anonymously. As a gesture of appreciation, the nightlife association will weekly publish the names of all individuals and companies who have donated and include their names on social media. Donations can be made starting today to the following account number: ES63 0182 2770 9102 0177 9826 (SWIFT BBVAESMMXXX).
In order to reach as many people as possible, this solidarity initiative will be promoted on social media, featuring well-known DJs and industry entrepreneurs sharing their support videos for those affected by the flooding in Valencia. They will express their solidarity and raise awareness for this campaign, which aims to raise funds for direct assistance to the Valencia Community.
The events scheduled to take place in Valencia have been canceled in solidarity with those affected by the flooding
As previously reported, Valencia was set to host the 10th International Nightlife Congress and 5th Spanish Nightlife Congress on November 19th and 20th, as well as the 9th Golden Moon Awards gala, all organized by theInternational Nightlife Association and Spain Nightlife in collaboration with the local associations Valencia Nightlife and the Valencia Hospitality Federation (FEHV). All of these events have been canceled in solidarity with the victims and those affected by the floods in Valencia.
“The tragedy in Valencia has shocked us all, and as a sector, we want to stand by those suffering the consequences of this terrible disaster. On the one hand, we want to express our support and condolences to the families of the deceased and missing. On the other, we want to provide direct assistance to those affected by raising funds that we will donate to the Valencia Food Bank, the Valencia Red Cross, and Caritas Diocesana,” detailed Joaquim Boadas, Secretary General of the International Nightlife Association and Spain Nightlife. “Our intention is to create an international movement to support those affected throughout the community, allowing everyone in the nightlife sector to participate, with the aim of helping as much as possible in the face of this unprecedented disaster that is impacting so many people,” Boadas concluded.
The winners of a Golden Moon Award and The World’s 100 Best Clubs 2024 list will be announced on November 20th
The World’s 100 Best Clubs 2024 list, as well as the winners of the Golden Moon Awards in their 10 categories, including the Golden Moon Award for The World’s Best Club 2024, were set to be revealed during the gala scheduled for November 20th, will instead be announced through a global statement sent out on that same date at 2 PM (CEST). The organizers of the events have agreed that the International Nightlife Congress and Spanish Nightlife Congress, as well as the Golden Moon Awards Gala, which was to be presented by DJ Judge Jules and journalist Lara Alvárez, will, to the extent possible, be held in 2025 in Valencia to contribute to the economic recovery of the region.
